I came to Burlington to visit my sister and her children, and we visited the Hawthorne Cafe - it was brilliant. The kids had fun playing with the toys and reading the kids' books, and we were there for a story/craft event which appears to be a weekly thing. The coffee was good, the sandwiches were made when we ordered them and warmed on a panini press, and the desserts we had (smores bar and raspberry chocolate cheesecake) were to die for! Very impressed by this place, especially the friendliness of the owners.
